Public Information/ Education-History

The Public Information and Education Division prepares and disseminates information concerning the Patrol to the public via the media; fields questions from the public and the media on variety of topics related to the Patrol and its mission; and provides educational programs throughout the state. This division also coordinates the activities of the public information and education officers assigned to each troop.

To schedule a rollover simulator, seat belt convincer display, or an educational program, please contact your nearest Missouri Highway Patrol troop headquarters and ask to speak with the public information and education officer. The Public Information and Education Division also coordinates the activities of the Safety Education Center.

• Tours of the Colonel Alvin R. Lubker Safety & Education Center
• Groups of 10 or more should call (573) 526-6149 to schedule a tour.
• Tours may be scheduled between 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
• Smaller groups are welcome without a reservation anytime from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
