LAW ENFORCEMENT ACTIVE THREAT RESPONSE

Prerequisite: Students must be sworn law enforcement officers.

Course Description: This 8-hour course provides law enforcement officers with classroom instruction on active threat history, trends, and response. Students will learn single and multiple officer responses to active threats through practical training exercises.  Some student may find this course physically demanding, so students should be injury-free.   

Uniform & materials:  Students should wear their duty uniform and bring all equipment they carry while on duty.  Practical exercises will be conducted using simulation munitions provided by the Patrol.  Training will be conducted regardless of weather conditions.

Tuition/Registration Fees: Registration fees are due by the first day of class.  If fees are not paid in full prior to completion of the class, certificates and continuing education hours will not be issued unless payment is received.

  • $250 - tuition and lunch

  • 8 hours
