ADVANCED TACTICAL EMERGENCY CASUALTY CARE (TECC)

Prerequisite: POST certified peace officers only

Course Description: This 8-hour POST course is designed as a follow up to the Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) Provider Course. Participants MUST have completed the 8-hour TECC Course in order to attend this Advanced Course. This class is strictly limited to 8 students per class.

The Advanced TECC Course builds upon the skills and knowledge obtained in the TECC Course. Additional medical techniques and equipment will be introduced to the students. Extensive hands on practical exercises allow students to practice their medical skills under real life conditions. This class is a very high stress and physically demanding course. Students should report in attire that can be damaged or destroyed, and have separate clothing to change into upon completion of the class.

Who Should Attend: Police officers performing enforcement activities or those involved in tactical operations.

Tuition/Registration Fees: Registration fees are due by the first day of class. If fees are not paid in full prior to completion of class, certificates and continuing education hours will not be issued unless payment is received.

Cost:

  • $287 - tuition and lodging
  • $250 - tuition only
  • Meals can be purchased separately at $6.00 each

Continuing Education Hours:

  • 4 hours of Technical Studies
  • 4 hours of Skill Development
