EXECUTIVE PROTECTION ADVANCED I SCHOOL (ADVANCE PROCEDURES TRAINING)

Course Description: This 22- hour POST course is designed as a follow up to the Basic Executive Protection School. Participants MUST have completed the 48-hour Basic School in order to attend any Advanced Course. This course is limited to 12 students.

The Advanced I Course builds upon the skills and knowledge obtained in the Basic School. In addition to an extensive Advance Practical Exercise, students will learn how to conduct threat assessments, operate an intelligence section, foreign travel considerations, and how to transition to from one protectee to another.

Additionally, this course provides students with one hour of POST training on handling persons with mental health and cognitive impairment issues, one hours of POST training on officer well-being including mental health awareness, and two hours of POST training on de-escalation techniques, crisis management, critical thinking and social intelligence.

Cost:

  • $665 - tuition, meals and lodging

Continuing Education Hours:

  • 10 hours of Technical Studies
  • 8 hours of Skill Development
  • 4 hours of Interpersonal Perspectives
