INTERVIEW AND INTERROGATION

Prerequisite:

Course Description: The ability to conduct effective interviews and interrogations is a critical part of every successful criminal investigation.  There is no evidence more incriminating in court than a confession to the crime by the suspect.  This course will provide professional training of interview and interrogation techniques used by experienced Criminal and Narcotic Investigators with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.  The instructors are experienced law enforcement interviewers and instructors, who will teach proven techniques and methods they use while conducting criminal investigations.  Participants will also learn the shortcomings of ineffective and outdated techniques that are currently being taught or were taught in the past. 

Who Should Attend: This course is designed for law enforcement professionals who conduct interviews during their professional assignments. 

Tuition/Registration Fees: Registration fees are due by the first day of class.  If fees are not paid in full prior to completion of class, certificates and continuing education hours will not be issued unless payment is received.  

Cost:

  • $450 - tuition, meals and lodging
  • $265 - tuition and meals

Continuing Education Hours:

  • 16 hours of Technical Studies
  • 14 hours of Interpersonal Perspectives
  • 10 hours of Skill Development
