LOOKING BEYOND THE STOP - INTERVIEW AND INTERROGATION

Prerequisite: POST Certified Peace Officers Only

Course Description: This 16-hour course is designed for any law enforcement professional who conducts roadside investigations.   

The ability to communicate with others is an integral part of a law enforcement officer's job as is the ability to listen and separate lies from truth.  This goal of this course is to provide professional training regarding tactical communication tools, active listening skills, basic interview versus interrogation, criminal patrol, statement analysis, and interrogation techniques.

Who Should Attend: Police officers assigned to road duties.

Tuition/Registration Fees: Registration fees are due by the first day of class.  If fees are not paid in full prior to completion of class, certificates and continuing education hours will not be issued.

Cost:

  • $210 - tuition, meals and lodging
  • $136 - tuition and meals

Continuing Education Hours:

  • 8 hoiurs of Technical Studies
  • 8 hours of Interpersonal Perspectives
