SURVIVAL SWIMMING

  • November 25-26, 2019

Prerequisite: The ability to float, tread water for 15 minutes continuously, swim 500 yards continuously.  MSHP POST Certified Officers only.

Course Description: This course is designed to establish a basic understanding of officer survival on the water.  This class is designed to provide a basic framework of knowledge and skills to survive an unexpected immersion into the water or to disengage from a suspect.

Course Length: 2 days (Monday 1000 hours to tuesday at 1700 hours)

Class Size: Limit of 12 students (minimum of 6 students)
