NHTSA, AAMVA Recognize Patrol's Efforts


Fatality Reduction Award 2007

On August 21, 2007, at their annual international conference, the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) and a representative from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) presented a highway safety award to the state of Missouri. The award recognizes Missouri's achieving the greatest reduction in the number of highway fatalities not involving a commercial vehicle in the United States. During 2006, Missouri realized 13 percent fewer fatalities in this category when compared to 2005 statistics.
