The Missouri Statistical Analysis Center is a unit within state government responsible for providing traffic safety and criminal justice information and research services to federal, state, and local authorities as well as Missouri citizens.

These services provide an understanding of the nature and types of crime and traffic safety problems facing the State. With this knowledge, public policy and programs can be designed and evaluated to address these problem areas.

  • 2008 Crime in Missouri

    The Missouri SAC is pleased to announce the availability of the 2008 Crime in Missouri, a compilation of Missouri crime statistics. This publication provides a basic understanding of Missouri's crime problems in 2008. [view pdf, 173KB]

  • 2008 Illicit Drug Study

    Results of a study conducted by the Missouri Department of Public Safety and the Missouri SAC were recently released in the publication entitled Nature and Extent of the Illicit Drug Problem in Missouri, 2008. The study focused on illicit drug use, the societal impact of illicit drugs, and extent of the illicit drug industry in the State, and was conducted to assist with evaluation of Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant funded programs targeting illicit drug enforcement and prevention.
