The Missouri Director of Revenue has delegated the Missouri State Highway Patrol authority to conduct driver examinations as set out in Sections 302.173 and 302.720 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri. The Driver Examination Section of the Patrol administers the provisions of this law, and therefore administers both knowledge tests and skills tests throughout the state. The Patrol does not process licensing fees nor issue driver credentials for the state of Missouri (these are handled by the Missouri Department of Revenue).
The Patrol maintains full-time driver testing services at 15 locations around the state, and utilizes an additional 121 part-time travel sites to provide examination services in every one of Missouri's 114 counties. Each of these locations allow for all forms of knowledge testing and provides non-CDL skills testing. The Patrol also performs the skills testing of CDL applicants, which consists of a pre-trip examination, basic skills (on the lot) examination, and road testing, at 10 locations around the state.
There are 5 locations used as a combination of CDL Skills/Driver testing sites.
DISCLAIMER: Information on the 156 locations is updated regularly.
