Prerequisite: Completion of Executive Protection School

Course Description: This 24-hour POST course is designed for law enforcement professionals assigned (permanently or temporarily) to an executive protection team and builds upon the skills established in the Basic School. 

The Executive Protection School covers all aspects of performing executive protection details. The Advanced Course teaches practical driving skills, firearm considerations, close quarters shooting techniques, threat assessments and executive protection medical considerations. Participants attending the Advanced Course should report with Class C or tactical style uniform appropriate for hands-on tactical training.

The Basic Course is 24 hours (two and a half days) of POST credit and runs from Monday, August 14th thru Wednesday, August 16. The Advanced Course is 24 hours (two and a half days) of POST credit and begins immediately after the Basic Course finishes; from Wednesday, August 16 thru Friday, August 18. Officers attending the Advanced Course must have completed the Basic Course.
