The service paid tribute to Cpl. Engelhard with a slide presentation and stories shared by family members and coworkers. A solo bagpiper played as part of the service after Colonel James F. Keathley, superintendent of the Patrol, presented a Missouri flag to the Engelhard family. The lonely notes of "Taps" played during the recessional. All law enforcement officers stood at attention for a final radio call of 10-42, to mark the end of Cpl. Engelhard's watch.
