Drug and Crime Control - History

The Division of Drug and Crime Control, established in 1983 by the 82nd Missouri General Assembly, is the investigative branch of The Criminal Investigation Bureau of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The division organizational structure consists of the division director, two lieutenants, and one civilian assistant director, who oversee administrative, executive, and tactical operations. There are three field enforcement districts. Each field district is supervised by a field lieutenant responsible for all investigative work in the district.
