GROUND FIGHTING FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS

Prerequisite: Good physical condition and no existing injuries.

Course Description: This course is designed to teach students the fundamental skills and techniques necessary to effectively deal with a ground fighting situation.  Specifically, students will learn how to defend against strikes on the ground, weapon retention strategies, escapes, sweeps, and compliance techniques.

Who Should Attend: Officers having a desire to learn ground fighting and improve skill development.

Tuition/Registration Fees: Registration fees are due by the first day of class.  If fees are not paid in full prior to completion of class, certificates and continuing education hours will not be issued unless payment is received.

Cost:

  • $290 - tuition, meals and lodging
  • $179 - tuition and meals

Continuing Education Hours:

  • 19 hours of Skill Development
  • 1 hour of Interpersonal Perspectives
  • 1 hour of Legal Studies
