TACTICAL EMERGENCY CASUALTY CARE PROVIDER (TECC)

TRAIN THE TRAINER

Prerequisite: Must have attended the MSHP TECC and Advanced TECC Courses before attending the TECC Train-the-Trainer Course (no substitution of classes will be allowed)

Course Description:  This 24-hour course will build upon the skills taught in the Missouri State Highway Patrol's TECC and Advanced TECC courses.  Background information will be discussed and esplained as it relates to teaching others about TECC concepts.  Students will demonstrate their understanding of TECC practices and must pass a written test before progressing to the second and third day of training.  On the second day of training, students will collectively teach a full TECC course to officers that have not attended TECC training.  On the third day of training, students will collectively teach a full ATECC course to officers that have not attended ATECC training.

The Student instructors will be supervised by the master instructor and will be graded on the student's teaching abilities, knowledge and skills.  Upon successful completion of the TECC TtT Course, participants will be able to teach the basic TECC and the Advanced TECC courses independently.

Who Should Attend:  Police officers teaching enforcement activities, medical related classes, or those involved in tactical operations.  Class is limited to six students.

Tuition/Registration Fees:  Registration fees are due 7 days prior to the start of the class.  If fees are not paid in full, the student will not be allowed to attend the course.  Forty-eight (48) hours notice of cancellation is required for full tuition refund.  Exceptions to the refund policy will be made at the discretion of the Director of Training.

Cost:

  • $684 - tuition, meals, and lodging
  • $549 - tuition and meals

Continuing Education Hours:

  • 14 hours of Skill Development
  • 6 hours of Interpersonal Perspectives
  • 4 hours of Technical Studies
