Driver's Examination Division
This division provides an effective program of driver testing to ensure Missouri licensed drivers have a level of competency consistent with safe driving habits and practices as well as demonstrated skills and knowledge of Missouri laws related to traffic safety.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol
provides the driver examination portion of an individual qualifying for
a Missouri Operator's License, Chauffeur's License, or Commercial
Drivers' License (CDL). This function is part of the Driver Examination
Division; which is responsible for the individuals who administer the
tests, providing areas for testing, and making sure the tests are
administered fairly and professionally.
Driver Examination Stations are provided in each county of the state and CDL sites are located within each troop. While appointments are not necessary to take an operator's license test, they are necessary to take a Commercial Driver's License test. Before arriving at a Driver Examination Station an individual needs to understand what will be required and the hours of operation for that particular station.
Driver Examination Station Locations and Hours
Effective August 1, 2008 Testing in Paris will be from 9:00 to 11:30 and from Monroe City from 12:45 to 4:00 on the first and third Fridays. MC testing in Paris will be at 10:30 and MC testing in Monroe City will be at 1:00.
Effective August 7, 2008 the Maysville Driver Examination Office will be relocating to: 701 E Main Street/Highway 6. Testing days and hours will remain the same - every Thursday, 9:00 - noon; 1:00 - 4:00 with motorcycle skills tests given at 1:00.
The National Guard Armory in Kennett will be closed for some renovations from August 4 through August 15th. Testing for those days will be held at the Malden exam station, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Note: Arrival at a test location before closing time does not guarantee that a test will be given to you.
Written and driving tests are given based upon personnel availability and volume of test applicants.
