Notice Under the Americans with Disabilities Act

In accordance with the requirements of title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ("ADA"), the Missouri State Highway Patrol ("MSHP") will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities.

The ADA requires that reasonable accommodations be provided to qualified individuals with disabilities. This law defines disabilities as physical or mental impairments that substantially limit one or more of a person's major life activities (e.g. walking, hearing, speaking, seeing, reading, or writing). The MSHP will provide reasonable and appropriate accommodations to qualified candidates who have documented disabilities and demonstrate a need for an accommodation.

To request an accommodation, please complete, print, and mail the application to Captain David A. Flannigan, P.O. Box 568, Jefferson City, MO 65102. The ADA does not require the MSHP to take any action that would fundamentally alter the nature of its programs or services or impose an undue financial or administrative burden.

Complaints or questions that a program, service, or activity of the MSHP is not accessible to persons with disabilities should be directed to Captain David A. Flannigan, ADA coordinator, at (573) 526-6117.
