DRUG INTERDICTION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

  • May 24 - 26, 2022

Prerequisite: Applicants must be commissioned peace officers. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reserves the right to refuse applications.

Course Description: This tuition-free 24-hour course is intended to familiarize and update law enforcement and Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) safety officials who perform, or intend to perform, CMV counter-crime activities, tactics, and criminal interdiction techniques involving everyday CMV traffic in transit.

Topics are related to commercial motor vehicles and include:

Trucking Industry Overview - Criminal Trends & Trafficking Patterns - Cargo Theft - Agency Enforcement Authority - Legal Considerations - Criminal Indicators - Required Marking & Documents - Roadside Interview and Interview Techniques - Case Networking & Adoption - Court Testimony & Report Writing - Trucks & Terrorism - Controlled Deliveries - EPIC Access & Use

Who Should Attend: Criminal interdictors, CVO's and officers interested in a career development program in drug interdiction focusing on commercial motor vehicles.

Tuition/Registration Fees: Registration fees are due 7 days prior to the start of the class. If fees are not paid in full, the student will not be allowed to attend the course. Forty-eight (48) hours notice of cancellation is required for full tuition refund. Exceptions to the refund policy will be made at the discretion of the Director of Training.

Cost:

$225 - meals and lodging

$50 - CEU credit only
