TACTICAL EMERGENCY CASUALTY CARE PROVIDER (TECC)

Prerequisite: POST certified peace officers only

Course Description: This eight-hour course will cover the current medical guidelines and protocols for emergency care in a high threat environment such as an active shooter or SWAT operation.  Students will be instructed in the 3 phases of TECC: direct threat care, indirect threat care, and evacuation care.  The course will include classroom instruction, skill labs, and scenario based exercises.  Uniform is Class C or tactical style uniform appropriate for scenario training.  Necessary medical equipment for the course will be provided.  This class is limited to 12 students.

Who Should Attend: Police officers performing enforcement activities or those involved in tactical operations.

Tuition/Registration Fees: Registration fees are due by the first day of class. If fees are not paid in full prior to completion of class, certificates and continuing education hours will not be issued unless payment is received.

Cost:

  • $185 - tuition and lodging
  • $150 - tuition only
  • Meals can be purchased separately at $6.00 each

Continuing Education Hours:

  • 8 hours of Technical Studies
