Violent Crime Support Unit
The Violent Crime Support Unit (VCSU) within the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) is available to assist Missouri criminal justice agencies during the investigation of serious violent crimes.
The VCSU began operation in August of 1995 as a result of the MSHP's continuing commitment to provide support services to law enforcement agencies across the state.
The VCSU provides three crucial services to local law enforcement agencies. These include Case Management Services, Case Reviews, and Professional Services.
Future plans of the VCSU include development of a statewide violent crime case comparison system
